Austin Lake Park Guest Guidelines
E-Bike & E-Scooter Rules
Ride smart, ride safe, and help us keep Austin Lake Park fun for everyone. Please review these campground rules before riding bicycles, E-bikes, E-scooters, golf carts, or kiddie cars in the park.
🚲 Bicycles & E-Bikes
Bicycles and E-bikes with pedals are allowed at Austin Lake Park. Riders should be pedaling during use.
🛴 E-Scooters
Stand-on E-scooters are allowed. Per Ohio law, riders must be at least 16 years old, follow traffic laws, and yield to pedestrians.
Riders between 14 and 16 may operate an E-scooter only when supervised by a guardian over 18 who can hear and see them while they ride.
🚗 Allowed Vehicles
Standard cars, trucks, RVs, street-legal motorcycles, and golf carts are allowed in the park.
🚫 Not Permitted
No other motorized vehicles are permitted, including ATVs, UTVs, motorized bicycles, mini-bikes, and other unauthorized motorized vehicles.
🧸 Kiddie Cars
Kiddie cars, such as Power Wheels, are allowed only on your campsite and must remain under direct adult supervision.
🪖 Safety Expectations
All riders must obey posted speed limits and Ohio laws. Parents should closely monitor children while they are using any vehicle. Helmets are strongly recommended.
Privilege & Responsibility
Austin Lake Park reserves the right to revoke riding privileges for excessive speed, reckless driving, failure to obey rules or verbal requests, repeated requests to slow down, or rude behavior.
Insurance Reminder
Please check your specific homeowner’s insurance policy for E-bikes and E-scooters. There are no specific insurance requirements for these in Ohio, and you may be liable for an accident caused by your own negligence. Be sure you are insured for liability to others.
